　　该剧根据同名播客改编，讲述档案管理员Dan Turner(马莫多·阿西 饰 )接受了一份神秘的工作，去修复一批1994年损坏的录像带。他发现自己修复的是纪录片制作人Melody Pendras(迪纳·什瓦比 饰)的作品，这些作品是关于她对一个危险邪教的调查。当Dan卷入Melody的故事中，他相信自己能将她从25年前的可怕结局中拯救出来。
